If you would be so kind as to AT LEAST skim some of these rules... the direct link to the chatroom is at the bottom of this page.
#1: You've obviously found this page through one of [as] Central's websites... if you were not aware, there's more than one (see this page for site information.) As such, if you ask a generic question such as "When's the next season coming?" Since we won't know which show you are asking about, please specify which show you are inquiring about. Or if you can, just visit one of the forums on the site you came from.
#2: Even though Frisky Dingo Central administrator, Nikki_D decided to have a separate chat for her patrons, you can still feel free to discuss Frisky Dingo in the 'Pool. Just know that the same rules apply for both chatrooms.
#3: Despite the chat being 24/7 and many of the #Carl'sPool mainstays being idle pretty much that same timeframe, don't expect people in the room to be chatting as soon as you get in. Keep in mind that everyone resides in different parts of the globe and in turn different time-zones. Additionally, there are some that work Monday - Friday from 9 to 5 and go out on the weekends. In short, if you're going to bitch about the lack of people chatting then we probably want you to leave anyway.
#4: It goes without saying that #Carl'sPool is a rather friendly chat. If you are rude and inconsiderate towards others you will be removed. Immature and overly annoying behavior will also lead to being removed from chat for as long as we see fit.
#5: Please set a nickname upon entering chat. We want to know who we're talking to and generally ignore "Anonymous" people. You can do this by using the box in the lower right corner of the chat window or by simply typing: /nick NAME
#6: In the same vain, please do not use generic nicknames (I.e.: Frylock, Killface, etc.) If need be, add some type of extra numbers or phrase such as Frylock28 or MrKillface.
#7: Chat is by no means restricted to [adult swim] as we do have many other topics to chat about. Do please however keep arguments, debates, etc. about politics or religion out of the chat.
#8: Individuals with either a @, ~, or % are Operators of #Carl'sPool. Give them your utmost respect and attention as they reserve the right to kick and/or ban you for a specific time or permanently as they see fit.
#9: In addition, the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) servers that house the #Carl'sPool chat are run by server admins (a.k.a.: IRCops) It would be in your best interest to give them as much respect (if not more) than the ops of #Carl'sPool. A couple of the IRCops even hang out in the 'Pool so they are monitoring activity as well. For more information about the PSIGenix server, click here.
#10: Do not bitch about the websites. If you have constructive criticism or a request we are happy to hear from you.
#11: Keep personal feuds out of the chat room.
#12: Do not ask where you can download episodes available on DVD, we do not support taking money away from Williams Street.
#13: Our holiest of rules: If you come into chat just to ask a simple question and leave, we reserve the right NOT to answer your question. It would definitely be more of an advantage to utilize any of the forums provided. #Carl'sPool is for chatting, not your personal Q&A forum.
#14: Ask before advertising other sites unless someone requests a link. Please note that spamming links in the room constitutes as an instant ban and possibly a K-Line (server ban) from the entire PSIGenix Network.
#15: If you have been previously banned from chat, do not attempt to loophole (I.e.: Using another ISP, port scanning, etc.) to join the chat some other way. Ban evasion also constitutes as a K-Line from PSIGenix.
#16: Do not private message (PM) people without their consent.
#17: Just because you've left and come back doesn't mean we still don't know who you are. Your IP address shows up every time you log into the chat.
