If you are having issues with the java chat, try using Mibbit as an alternative. Click on "Server" and type "irc.psigenix.net" in the box provided and #Carl'sPool where it says "Channel(s)."

To change your nickname, type /nick nameyouwanttouse -- Always remember the / before nick also. So for instance if you want to use the name AdultSwimmer21, you would simply type in /nick AdultSwimmer21. It's that simple!
